The Under 14 of Manchester City Babies FC yesterday drew goalless with a league side Great Eagles FC at our home grounds. The match was really a great test for the baby blues as Great Eagles is an esperiance side, they have been playing in the colts league for sometime now and their under 14 is currently lying in the second position of the currently on going league as compared with our team that is still a young side. The match was an interesting match as both sides exihibited some good football but the visitors was slightly on top of the baby blues. The keeper of the baby blues Abdullah Mohammed was my man of the match because aren't not been him the visitors would have carry the day.But the coach of the baby blues coach Sadat, told me after the match that he was happy with the performance of his boys because Great Eagles is a league side and an esperiance team as well as compared with his young team.

Meanwhile, our assessment have been extended to November because we have asked for the extension in order for us to do neccessary preparations.

PS: We will like to thank the chair of the MCCSA,Alex Channon and our own malcylon for their support and encouragements aren't been them it won't have been easy for us here.So they should keep it up.

Having beating Kanvilli FC 4-2 at home last week, the baby blues of Ghana(Under 12s of Manchester City babies), were hoping to make it a double against the Kanvilli lads but it did not materialize for the baby blues because the Kanvilli lads held them to 2-2 draw at their park.It was a hard fought draw for the baby blues as they have to come from two goals down to draw two all with their opponents. The Kanvilli boys started strongly and scored two goals in the first period through Abdul Gaani and Micheal Awuni in the 10th and 28th minute respectively, they held on to this goals till the end of the first period. The baby blues then came back strongly in the second period and got some two quick goals in the 48th and 55th minute through fast improving midfielder Kwabena Aboagye. After that both sides struggled to get the match winner but due to the brilliance shown by the defensive set up of both sides prevented another goal in the game.It was no surprise when the referee blew his whistle for the end of the game.

The team is currently preparing hard for the assessment exercise we will go through this september before being admitted into the northern regional colts league. We hope we will meet all their requirements. Some of their requiments include, readiness of us in terms of entery and affiliation fees, equipments of the team etc.But we will soon get some kits from Alex Channon, the chair of the CSA who launch an appeal for funds recently to buy football equipments for us.

MCFC Babies page
