luanshyablue, thanks for your contribution. I set up this page for members to air views on the subject and it's interesting to read your thoughts. I guess it's a symptom of the situation that the page comes across as somewhat anti-Thaksin. It's just that the available material online tends to be that way inclined. I think there is a lack of quality discussion around Thaksin and his ownership of City. Thanks again.

Can we get something absolutely clear. The members of the present 'uprising' refer to themselves as a party supporting democracy. They are the serious anti Thaksin people. The ABSOLUTE truth is that they have no interest in 'democracy' as we in UK know it. They wish to see a return to a totalitarian regime controlled by their king and the army. Thaksin had the audacity to offer an alternative which was welcomed by the average Thai; genuine western style democracy - with all its weaknesses. If they want an effective dictatorship along the lines of Mugabe in Zimbabwe so be it. It's nothing to do with us over here. What we want is a successful Manchester City and if Thaksin gives us that I, for one, am happy. Do you really think that the Chelsea money is all above board? Do you really think that the Glazers just quietly accumulated enough money to buy the Rags?
Thank you, Frank, for saving us from penury and distruction. Before he came along we were almost BUST, SKINT, CAPUT. We were going one way; and it certainly wasn't up.
thank you for reading this.
